I’m Alex Stead

I’m a photographer based in St. John’s, Newfoundland (yes it’s cold. yes it’s wildly beautiful).

Some fun facts:

• i got my start as a dinner theatre actress/waitress and that’s why i’m so good at balancing many plates (and also memorizing monologues)
• i have photographed approximately 500 weddings. i’d double check but truly, it’s up there. i still love em.
• i have always been a fan of asking forgiveness, not permission; and photographing everything and anything. like the time my brother once accidentally burned down a whole neighbourhood – i was there with my camera documenting it, instead of helping.

Oh, also? I really, really love watching photographers fucking kill it at business.

I have supported over 300 people to lean into their inner creative, start businesses, or grow their photography business to 6-figures (and up). I make mistakes so that you don’t have to.
