Frequently Asked Questions
Is this class okay for beginners?
This class is 100% for beginners! If you’re the kind of person who barely takes their camera out of the bag because you’re not sure what the buttons do… this course was made precisely for you. If you and your friends are more advanced photographers who have already taken classes before, we can customize the course material to include more advanced topics.
Is your studio accessible?
My studio is on the second floor and accessible only by stairs. If you would like to book a class in your own home or at an accessible location, please feel free to reach out at email@example.com and I am happy to coordinate an alternate location or otherwise do my best to accommodate your accessibility needs.
My friends and I want to come, but we don’t all have fancy cameras. Is that okay?
Sure is! I have enough cameras at my studio for everyone to borrow. You can bring your own if you have one. I’ll also give you some tips on buying your first (or next) camera if you’d like to get one after the course!
I don’t want my picture taken! Can we leave out the head shots?
The head shots are optional – they are a fun way to practice your new skills, but if you like being behind the camera more than in front of it, you do not need to get a head shot. 🙂
Can kids or teens participate?
TeTeens aged 12+ are more than welcome to participate; I have taught many young adults over the years and it is a joy to walk them through this creative endeavor. I was just 14 when I attended my first photography class and it instilled a lifelong love of photography.
More than four of us are interested, can we do a larger group?
Unfortunately, my studio can only comfortable sit 4 people at one time. If you would like to book a larger class or group team building, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’d be happy to chat about hosting a class at your office or in a space that can accommodate more people.
Do not hesitate to take this course! It was the best thing I have done for myself in a long, long time. Because of Alex and her course I’ve gained valuable skills to be a better photographer, and I now have the ability to capture so many precious moments of my children, family and friends, which to me is priceless.
