I’m Alex Stead. I’m a photographer based in St. John’s, Newfoundland (yes it’s cold. yes it’s wildly beautiful. and yes, i actually do live on jellybean row).
Some fun facts:
– i got my start as a dinner theatre actress/waitress and that’s why i’m so good at balancing many plates (and also memorizing monologues)
– i have photographed approximately 500 weddings all across Canada. while i spend more of my time teaching these days, i still love a good love story.
– i love doing things differently: i believe that women, queer folks and minorities deserve a slice of the pie, and my big dream is to empower as many people as possible to create community-centred small businesses.
